The ‘Amami” generates incredible amounts of drive in any conditions, but the way it generates that drive and speed just feels soo natural and so good. However it is not a one trick pony, the feeling of getting this board flowing from rail to rail is what surfing is all about.
Super versatile, capable of extremely high performance surfing but also an ideal board for those who want to flow on a wave or even surfers who
find themselves struggling to make it through fast sections.A great board for waves in the knee high to well overhead range, point breaks to beach breaks, pros to intermediate surfers. For this reason we think the ‘Amami” will be a best seller and a favourite among everyone that tries one!
The flat entry helps get you in super early then it’s lift off!! The single by the front foot leading to a hint of a double by the fins to a Vee in the tail helps with rail to rail efficiency and high performance surfing .
The high literage of the board is stored in the step deck so it’s buoyant enough even for the heavier surfer. It really is a must have!
Polyurethane blank with polyester resin is the most widely used construction for surfboards and has been for years. Recently polyester resin has become stronger and more ultraviolet stable which means the boards last longer and stay white even when exposed to strong sunlight on surf trips.At Shibui surfboards we use a resin called Isophthalic which is the best polyester resin on the market, your board will stay whiter for longer.
The polyurethane blanks we use are from US Blanks which supply all the top brands worldwide, they're strong and light.
Shibui surfboards are built from the best materials out there, we do not cut corners on quality, if need advice please contact us.
This board can be plain, foam tinted or polished resin tinted in blue or red.
ORDER PROCESS
Once you have paid for your surfboard and the money is cleared, you will receive an email with the shapers contact details. You will then be able to discuss exactly the specification for your board.
After your board has been specified the shaper will calculate the cost of the delivery, we will invoice you the delivery costs before the completion of the construction of your board.
