In Japan, Kaizen sees improvement in productivity as a gradual and methodical process. The kaizen is a step up board for those challenging days where you want to test your limits and ability. All those years of practice will bear fruits with this carefully thought out shape.
The nose rocker is medium with a 5 inch curve and the nose is fairly full to help get in to the wave easily. The tail is pulled in and the rocker has a 2 5/8 inch curve to promote high performance and help make steep drops and bottom turns. The flat entry concave to a deep single from the front foot gives speed and stability to a double in the back for radical turns .
Designed for high level and high performance surfing in decent conditions.
CONSTRUCTION POLYURETHANE/POLYESTER
Polyurethane blank with polyester resin is the most widely used construction for surfboards and has been for years. Recently polyester resin has become stronger and more ultraviolet stable which means the boards last longer and stay white even when exposed to strong sunlight on surf trips.
At Shibui surfboards we use a resin called Isophthalic which is the best polyester resin on the market, your board will stay whiter for longer. The polyurethane blanks we use are from US Blanks which supply all the top brands worldwide, they're strong and light. Shibui surfboards are built from the best materials out there, we do not cut corners on quality, if need advice please contact us.
